His position was based on the idea that Adam already knew what death was when God warned him about disobedience. His premise was that Adam was afraid to confront the serpent or as he described the dragon, which might have led to his death, which would have been the sacrifice. In terms of the Immaculate Conception that to me is the legal description of what was ontological hers by right. The transition of Original sin in her case was "ontological silenced". The condition we all inherit in her case was not removed, instead it was deprived of power.
